rocky my grgeous jack russel but he bites

My jack Russel is full of fun and he is the most loving jack Russel Ive ever had.hes the best mate you could ever have he does have a biting problem I,m afraid and i don't know what to do hes just under 2 months and I,m scared it will grow into a habit what should i do i have tried everything he just does not listen to me he ignores me is it because I,m casual to him?

I agree, on his side or hold your hand over his mouth. He needs to know that you are his master. The dog whisperer is a great idea. Jacks will want to be the alpha male. You must be the Alpha not him.

I think it's a puppy trait and you should really nip it in the bud! What I did was to lay the dog out in a submissive position on his side each time he tried to bite and it didn't take long for him to "get it". Maybe you have seen Cesar the Dog Whisperer do it? My pup was also biting my sox when I walked him. (we live in North Carolina, US, and I was wearing shorts when he was new to our family. I had to make a quick jerk of the leash and correct him about that, too. You will find there is no better dog. I have one who is nearly four years old and his only real problem is recall when he gets away and we keep working on that one! It's a real worry, but they are so prey driven, it is hard to get their attention out doors, let alone when they get loose! Good luck...

Get yourself a water gun and everytime he goes to bite say no very sternly and give him a squirt.I find it works for a few things.Good luck.
