how much food should you be giving a 4 month old jack russell and what if it gets hungry when it is done eating? do i give it food or not?

Read the bag of puppy chow or measure whatever you are feeding...chicken, veggies, etc. Maybe small amounts 2-3 times a day till mature? Usually it goes by weight. Unfortunately, my Jack is "always hungry", but they will get fat if you let them eat too much! They are just "food hounds" like all dogs!
