whining with toy in his mouth NEW
by: Anonymous

I have a male 7 month old who does the same thing! Because he's male, I wouldn't think that a false pregnancy is the cause. He will carry two of his toys around in the evening and whine and cry and sometime try to bury them. He seems so distressed by the whole thing. Anyone have a male who does this?

THE LAST RESPONSE WAS SPOT ON!
by: ScooterMama59

Hello,
The last writer is spot on. Phantom pregnancy, but you really don't need a vet to handle it. Mine does the samething. She is just over 2 and a half and does this when stressed. She will stop if you will sit with her and just tell her everything is OK (to calm her down).

Sometimes we have to take the toys away from Ginger and give her a firm "NO" and then she is fine.
This seems to happen more to the females that are not or have not been spayed/fixed.
Best to you,
