Rocky is my first dog. We adopted him off a young girl who bought him off (what seems like) a pretty sketchy guy. She was unable to care for him, so you see it was destiny he is absolutely my best friend!

About 20 years ago we lost a Siamese cat who have been with us for over 17 years. At about that time we also have a little Chihuahua who went to play with the neighbor's dogs (large ones) and got bitten to death. The loss of these two wonderful animals made it impossible for me and my wife to even think about getting new pets who would someday bring us down with the same heartaches.
Then, a friend brings a JRT puppy, goofy looking, who was schedule to be euthanized by the un wanting owner. The moment we put her down on the floor she acted like Speedy Gonzales and zipped all over the house. At first we were confused about how to take care of such a hyper dog. But, as time passed, she filled out hearts with so much love and happiness we could not possibly think of being without her. Georgia is now 2 years old and stills provide us with that magic feeling.

It was a family decision to adopt a Jack Russell and I used Pet Finder to help me locate Scooter. She was at a local Animal Control Facility and scheduled to be put down. Scooter was in pretty rough shape. Being heartworm positive her chances for adoption were slim. The decision to make her part of our family was a good one. This little dog has been such a joy and she shows us every day how much she loves us.
We sure do love her!
Just wanted to share some pictures of our baby Bella

My daughter helps out with a rescue group and from time to time transports pets to be fostered or get to a rescue group facility. Shorty was is a high kill shelter with time running out for her. One of the rescue volunteers made a connection and the Jack Russell Rescue in Greensboro, NC was going to make room for Shorty. When my daughter went to pick her up for the drive to Greensboro.....I fell in LOVE with this sweet little Jack. Shorty never made to Greensboro but she became part of my heart. She is constantly so happy that when she wags her little docked tail her entire body shakes with joy. Who would not be happy to see such a sight? She fits right in with our family and is a sister to our other Jack Russell, Scooter.
