My dog has a very hard belly and cant stand up. Whats wrong with him?

my jack russell used to have a bloated tummy and was in pain.i have found he can not eat any green veg like beans cauliflour ect.so trial and error.he never has the bloated tum anymore.

Since we are on the JRT page, I'll focus on dogs. Dogs are known for masking pain when they can. However if your dog has a hard belly (& can't stand) makes me worry he may have a bowel obstruction which can be fatal depending on what he ingested-that or poison.He may also have a more simple but painful GI issue/illness (worm infestation-which can be painful and debilitating too.)

Either way, this is not a case to wait-I'd get him wrapped in blankets,put on a leash(for safety but carry him wrapped,in your arms,warm & feeling comforted because he's scared) Tell the vet when it started,anything you can think of,including meds,foods,etc.Let the Vet do what he needs to do so your dog can heal.Best of luck to all of you, hope this helps.
