Jack Russell extreme anxiety

My 13 year old JR has lately developed random frequent bouts of extreme anxiety...full body shuddering, panting, ears back, spontaneous urination, digging to hide - as if it's the 4th of July. Except this behavior has now become commonplace and my household has not had any changes. Is this 'panic attack' normal for older JR's?
