Why does my Jack Russel growl while I'm holding her and my second dog will try to get attention also is it because the second dog is trying to steal the attention and my jack Russel does not like it ?

Hello Sandy,
You hit the nail on the head! Right on! That's the intelligence of the JRT. I dogsit often and this is my experience as well.
Real smarty pants they are!

Have a great day and use "firmly" NO, when they growl like that. Or a bit stronger hand would be to put the growler in the kennel box for a few minutes, until they stop.

As soon as they figure out that they can't come out to play, unless they play nice, they will stop this negative behavior!

Take care and keep on loving those hard-egg heads we call JRT's!
