Growling Puppy

We have a 6 month old JRT and he is, for the most part, happy and loving. He is, however, prone to growling at us when we do something he doesn't like....and by this I mean...we move him to a better spot when he is asleep on our lap, or wipe his feet off when we come in from a wet outdoor session. He has never snapped or bitten, but even though we reprimand him very loudly and sternly, this behavior continues.

We would prefer he not growl. We have kids around and feel that the growling might escalate to biting. Any ideas? He was neutered about a week ago and we take him to a puppy school that advocates the "30 minute down" training which we do.....

Should I worry?
