Ears that Stick Up

I have a 4 month old puppy JRT. In the last 2 weeks her ears now stick up at all times and look very odd. What can i do to get them back down folded nicely.

I have a JR and her ears are sticking up.When I got her at a very young age,one ear was down and one ear was up.Ilooked on you question to see why my JR ears stuck up.But no one has really commented why? Or if this is just natural/normal for these tye of dogs.But now she is 7 years old and as she become an adult her ears both stood up.They are quite huge too.But there real cute.They turn round like radars when shes listening to you. Its very strange why some have stuck up ears and some are down.But this dose not mean they are real JR,Pedigree,as my JR is and has the pointed up ears.She only has 3inch legs too.And a 1 and half inch tail.x

My jrt had pricked ears Too. they seemed huge, but we all loved him that way, he looked like a DEER.

Ears stand up

Well i have a JRT aswell and her ears stand up aswell, but now she is 10 years old and she still got it. I like the way she is and thinks its even more beautifull than a normal one.

jack russell ears

when i first got my jack russell he was about 6 weeks old (maybe younger) he was very very small. anyway the first month or so his ears were relaxed and down. now he is 3 years old and ever since about 10 weeks old his ears stand straight up. not that i am complaining i like him the way he is, i was just wondering what caused his ears to just stand up one day.

Ears That Stick Up

My JRT is 10 months old his ears stick up and sometimes the right one flops down. I read that it could be a year or two before they go down.

Actually I think he looks cute ears and all.

You could just leave them and know that this quality makes her unique! My mom and dad have a terrier that had one ear that stood up and one that didn't. After about 5 years it stopped standing up...must have gotten tired. I thought it was cute though it gave him personality!

Sticking Up Ears!

Our Jack Russell puppy had exactly the same at that age - so much so we called her Bat Dog - but they very quickly folded down naturally as she grew. So I expect yours will do the same.
