Dog Pain in Legs or Muscles

We have a 3 year old jack named Juke, the last couple of days hes had some pain in his legs or muscles not sure we can pin point. He has always been very energetic and ready to go running and playing now he is having problems just getting on the couch, we have to pick him up to put him in bed at night,. We are really really worried about our baby.

Do you have any idea whats going on with him? He hasn’t been hurt, stung or anything like that. It just all of sudden started hurting him?

It’s hard to say what might be going on with your Jack Russell. Juke’s symptoms fit with a long list of potential problems including a back or neck injury that occurred when you weren’t observing him, infections (particularly those that are passed on by ticks), immune-mediated diseases, and many more.

Your best option is to make an appointment with your veterinarian. He or she can perform a physical examination and then recommend any diagnostic tests that might be necessary to figure out what is going on and come up with a plan to make Juke feel better. The sooner treatment is started, the quicker Juke will be back to his normal self and the cheaper his treatment will be in the long run.
