Behaviour Problem

We have a 6 year old Jack Russell which has recently developed a nasty habit of messing in the bed he shares with a Boxer almost every night. My limited understanding of dog behaviour is that this habit breaks all the laws of nature! Any ideas how we can prevent him from continuing this dirty behaviour.
