I'm home!
We recently lost our 12yr old male German Shorthair Pointer which we had rescued 7yrs ago along with a much younger female JRT. They were very close like brother and sister from day one.
Three weeks of heartache and sadness from our loss, we knew we had to find our sweet little Jack Russell girl a "little brother" asap...no easy feat!
As with finding them, 5+hrs each way, we found Chester 3+hrs each way.
He stole our hearts the first day and having our little Piper girl along to decide as well made the decision easy.
He is so affectionate, sweet and smart of course, as all Jacks are. He loves the great outdoors...wildlife galore, so much to take in you'd think he'd had a double espresso to start his day.
Piper's taken to him and they get along when he doesn't knock her out of the way when getting around. When she wants to play he is too pre-occupied with everything else to notice. They'll get there and she is coming around to her ol' self, getting to know hime and enjoying his companionship.
We love him and he's right at home, helping us heal and filling that loss.
We will always love and cherish in our hearts our very much missed beautiful Pointer "Chase", we know he would approve of Chester as Piper's little brother.
